Hello world! Jeremy is back with some words on what going on with The Time Framed!

First things first for those who haven’t seen us live in the past month; The Time Framed is happy, excited, and proud to announce Justin Profit as our new guitarist! He’ll be filling in the gaps between my highs and Britt’s lows.

Justin got comfortable with our set so fast we barely know what to do with ourselves, the excitement is impossible to contain!

Also, if you don’t follow us on Facebook; we had to part ways with drummer Brandon Chauncey. It’s not my nature to talk crap about someone behind their back or in blogs online so I won’t do that. He’s a great guy, a talented musician, and a damn good producer but things did not work out for us as a team.

I’m not sure what it takes for most people, but I’ve hit the point of giving up a lot of times and I still find myself doing a U-turn back towards endless toiling. These are some things that make me want to quit: sleepless nights feeling like I’m struggling to nail a halfway decent recording against the coming of the end of the world, cramming gear into my girlfriend’s car to drive halfway across the state to hopefully play to more people than we put into the car, and just watching local venues struggle while we are powerless to help because our voice isn’t strong enough.

…Yet.

The thing is, if you know your flaws you can overcome them. So that’s what I am dedicating myself to doing: pushing The Time Framed further instead of throwing it all away. I feel obligated to mention yet ashamed that I did have a week or so where I had convinced myself that I wasn’t going to do music anymore. I gave up on myself. I’m still feeling the waves of it and I’m not 100% back to being OK but I’m on my way. It’s a little early for new years resolutions so let’s just call this the drawing board.

Until we find someone to take on the role of drumming for us, that will be my job since Justin’s guitar parts are unique from mine but tend to lock into Britt’s bass lines more directly. This means I have to find a way to turn my guitar parts (and maybe even my vocals) into a backing track. Anyone who saw our first 3 shows back in 2015 knows that I’ll break the BGM if I’m playing guitar and singing too close to a computer lol! Looks like I have my work cut out for me…

Because we’re kind of reworking everything, we won’t be playing shows as often. 2018 was a busy year and we made lots of friends all over the place! Next year we’ll be focusing on restructuring our live setup (obviously), recording and releasing new music, and some visits to distant cities but I promise we’ll attend Tampa Bay area concerts and perform at Delandapalooza again too!

Keep your eyes and ears open for a concept EP as well as some videos in the near future (@_@!!)

Always with love,
Jeremy Benjamin
