Any person who has spent a little time as anything other than the percussion element of a band knows how magical it is to have the right person keeping time for you and your group. The Time Framed has been through many different phases. I started this project as a way to express my own imagination as seen through concepts of spirituality, madness, fantasy, and their interaction within this reality.

A wise man once told me “You can only day dream for so long…” and with those words I began putting my ideas into musical and lyrical form. I was nothing but a teenage boy with a guitar and a dream.

…And so life happened as it tends to and I changed my mind on what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be so many times that by the time I created The Time Framed I was more accomplished as a drummer than I had ever been with the guitar! The Time Framed existed purely as a place for my musical creativity, being that it was too outlandish for other endeavors, with the main goal of one day sneaking into 4 key venues: television shows, commercials, movies, and most importantly video games.

Britt was originally the lead singer of the group that became who we are today, it was called Clarity in Chaos at the time. We had some cool songs (or so I thought) but after 4 months or so, everyone in the group had gotten fed up with each other and the sounds we were producing. By that time, Britt was not being shy about wanting to play bass instead of doing vocals so I did what anyone with nearly 100 songs to work on would do; I started teaching her my music!

We started working on a song list immediately and it wasn’t long before she had an hour long set’s worth of my vibratory madness down like it was her own! Then we began looking for a drummer. We talked with a few people here, jammed with a couple of guys there, and nothing solidified. 7 months into being a band we started getting asked to do gigs! But how are we going to gig with no drummer? Now I am officially a drummer in search for a drummer…

…Turns out, you’ll get plenty of appraisal from musicians if you record yourself on the drums and then just play to it live! Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel, a chance encounter has led us to meet a few more people and I’m very interested to see what happens next!   -Stay Tuned!
